Duties & Responsibilities
Lead a NIH funded project studying inflammation and immunology in lung diseases.
Screen literature, perform critical analysis of prior research, design and execute experiments, troubleshoot once necessary.
Write manuscripts, and present data in research conferences.
Contribute to grant applications.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong background knowledge in molecular and cellular biology techniques (qPCR, Western blot, CRISPR, etc.)
- Knowledge of in vitro cell models and in vivo animal models (viral/fungal)
- Knowledge of general pathophysiology and molecular biology
- Proficiency in data analysis
- Strong problem-solving and experimental design skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate degree such as PhD or MD in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology or related field is required.
- Proven research record, including at least two first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Three (3) or more years of Post Doc experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in immunology or prior research experience in lung disease models
- First-author publication(s) in high-impact journals
