Key Responsibilities
- Conduct immunohistochemistry to assess brain changes in mouse models.
- Perform whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology in brain slices.
- Execute molecular and cellular assays relevant to neuroinflammation and neural plasticity.
- Design, develop, and implement complex research projects independently.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data using independent judgment.
- Collaborate within the department and across university units.
- Present research findings at lab meetings and conferences.
- Contribute to manuscript preparation and grant writing.
- Assist with supervision of lab staff and daily lab operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Research experience in at least one of: electrophysiology, imaging, immunohistochemistry, neuroanatomy, or molecular biology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience with patch-clamp recordings.
- Background in neuromodulation or chronic pain research.
- Proficiency with imaging or data-analysis software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
