Postdoctoral Research Associate, Basic Medical Science (Phoenix)

About the role

The He Lab in the Department of Basic Medical Science is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position. Our research program aims to understand:

• the development of insulin resistance and increased liver glucose production, which contributes to hyperglycemia in patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes;
• the impairment of mitochondrial dynamics/activity and its importance in causing liver steatosis;
• the molecular mechanism underlying trans-generational obesity.

To address these questions, we use molecular and cellular biological technology, combining knockout and knock-in mouse models.
