Postdoctoral position in political science at Uppsala University
About the role
Uppsala University is looking for a postdoctoral fellow whose main duties (80%) are to conduct research within the project “Living as a survivor: a study of the political, social and economic integration of tsunami survivors,” which is funded by the Swedish Research Council. The position also includes 20% teaching in political science.
Responsibilities
- Carry out analyses of register data
- Design a survey
- Analyze collected survey data
- Co-author scientific articles
Requirements
- PhD in political science or a closely related field
- Very good knowledge of quantitative methods, especially with a focus on experiments/causal identification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, and/or R
About the project

Work environment
The postdoctoral fellow will be part of a research group working on the project, led by researcher Lina M. Eriksson at Uppsala University, with participation from Kåre Vernby at Stockholm University. The group intends to collaborate through continuous communication, regular meetings, and co-writing of research articles.
Employment details
The employment is a temporary position for two years according to central collective agreement, with the possibility of extension up to at most three years. The scope of the employment is 100% (80% research and 20% teaching). The earliest starting date is March 1, 2022, or by agreement. Placement: Uppsala.
