Responsibilities

  • Details of Research Project: Evaluate neuronal control of macrophage function in the heart.
  • Technical Duties: Mouse modeling and handling, flow cytometry, advanced confocal imaging of the heart, single cell sequencing, neuronal manipulation methods like neuronal ablation, neuropeptide deletion, and brain circuit manipulation. Molecular assays like protein quantification or mRNA expression.

  • Goals/Outcomes Of The Research Project: Identify new ways by which the nervous system regulates inflammation in the cardiovascular system. Develop and test novel signaling mechanisms for therapeutic intervention.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for the role is $72,500 - $80,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
