Postdoctoral Fellow-MSH-32074-061
Description of Research Project
The candidate will investigate the use of selective modified mRNA to treat diseases such as diabetic foot, skin aging, and cardiac regeneration using murine and pig models. They will perform detailed activities to identify therapeutic genes that promote regeneration and rejuvenation.
Technical Duties
- Conduct in vitro screening experiments
- Prepare modified mRNA
- Formulate and characterize lipid nanoparticles (LNPs)
- Analyze high-throughput datasets
- Design, plan, and analyze in vivo studies in small and large animal models
- Summarize research findings
- Prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree
- Experience in regenerative medicine techniques
- At least one of the following areas of expertise: Cardiac repair, RNA biology, synthetic biology, heart failure, cardiology, immunology, or molecular biology
Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project
The goal is to identify new mRNA-based candidate genes that can prevent and treat diabetic foot, skin aging, and cardiac regeneration.
