Postdoctoral Associate
About the role
The Snell Laboratory at the University at Buffalo seeks a Postdoctoral Associate for an initial two-year appointment, with potential extension based on funding. The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on protein-level structural responses to low-dose radiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clone, express, and purify target proteins and complexes.
- Perform crystallization screening and related structural studies.
- Analyze data using X-ray crystallography, neutron crystallography, and X-ray spectroscopy.
- Collaborate on projects involving AI and machine learning applications in structural biology.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biology, or a closely related field.
- All degree requirements (including dissertation) must be completed at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in AI, computational modeling, and machine learning tools for biological applications.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000
