Responsibilities
- Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to assess the efficacy of novel therapeutic targets, both alone and in combination with temozolomide and/or radiation.
- Investigate underlying mechanisms of action using a range of biochemical and pharmacological techniques.
- Use shRNA/CRISPR gene-targeting approaches to validate novel targets identified through secondary, custom-designed siRNA library screening.
- Mentor research technologists, students, and/or interns.
- Prepare and contribute to manuscripts for publication.
- Participate in local and national scientific meetings.
Qualifications
- PhD in Cancer Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience with genome-wide screening and drug discovery methodologies.
- Strong background in biochemical and pharmacological techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor and train junior researchers.
