Postdoctoral Associate

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to assess the efficacy of novel therapeutic targets, both alone and in combination with temozolomide and/or radiation.
  • Investigate underlying mechanisms of action using a range of biochemical and pharmacological techniques.
  • Use shRNA/CRISPR gene-targeting approaches to validate novel targets identified through secondary, custom-designed siRNA library screening.
  • Mentor research technologists, students, and/or interns.
  • Prepare and contribute to manuscripts for publication.
  • Participate in local and national scientific meetings.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Cancer Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience with genome-wide screening and drug discovery methodologies.
  • Strong background in biochemical and pharmacological techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior researchers.
