Postdoc of Biophysics
About the role
The postdoc will develop biophysics-based strategies for designing protein binders. The project involves computational biology and molecular modeling, focusing on the physical principles of protein structure, dynamics, and molecular recognition.
Responsibilities
- Research within biophysics and data science
- Collaborate with experimentalists to screen and validate designed binders
- Contribute to the development of screening pipelines for binders targeting proteins involved in cell wall synthesis in gram-positive bacteria
- Work on intellectual property (IP) related to AI-designed proteins
- Teaching responsibilities may be included
Requirements
- Background in biophysics, computational biology, or data science
- Experience with computational design tools such as RFDiffusion, BindCraft, or Boltz
- High-throughput data science and screening methods expertise
- Programming and scripting skills using Python or similar languages
Qualifications
- PhD degree or equivalent
- Relevant publications
Skills
- Strong programming skills
- Experience with molecular dynamics
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines

Pay
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff and is paid according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
Schedule
The appointment is for a period of one year, starting from October 1st, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
