About the role
The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University seeks a post-doctoral fellow in the Center for Market Leadership, directed by Professor Gregory Carpenter. The center explores diverse topics such as behavioral analysis of competition, sources of competitive advantage, branding, and organizational transformation to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
Candidates will contribute to a broad research agenda, engage in interdisciplinary projects, and utilize various methodologies including experimental design and machine learning. They will collaborate with a team and communicate effectively within the scientific community.
Requirements
- PhD in a management discipline or social science (e.g., marketing, management, sociology, psychology, economics), or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in experimental design and working with large-scale data.
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Active participation in the scientific community.

Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000.
Schedule
The fellowship starts on September 1, 2026. Applications are reviewed from January 4, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled.
