About the role
The Post-Processing Supervisor oversees the Flower Pack team to maintain both compliance and production. They are responsible for tracking employee progress, updating SOPs, and ensuring all data tracking systems are accurate. They also support daily operations of various machines, troubleshoot issues, document relevant practices, schedule maintenance, and provide training to operators.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all functions of the Post-Processing Flower Pack team, including scheduling, packaging products, rework, and batch record keeping.
- Review and execute daily production plans; develop solutions to barriers with support from Post Processing management.
- Complete quality control audits as required across different process path functions.
- Input data into state compliance software and internal software.
- Maintain data records around productivity and quality metrics.
- Diagnose, adjust, and maintain complex, high-speed industrial and packaging machinery.
- Perform routine adjustments and minor mechanical repairs, including alignment, tensioning, lubrication, and component replacement.
Qualifications and Education
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proven experience operating mechanical or automated production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
- Familiarity with FDA labeling and packaging regulations (FPLA, CGMP).
- Attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Availability to work weekends and occasional holidays.
Essential Job Functions
- Sit/stand for long periods (4+ hours) of time.
- Stand, bend, lift up to 30+ pounds, climb, and work above shoulder height for extended periods.
- Slide under trays on creepers to perform maintenance.
- Push carts and wheelbarrows.
- Work in a production environment with heavy machinery and environmental considerations such as loud repetitive noises and temperature fluctuations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting at $23.00 per hour, with room to negotiate based on previous experience and fit.
