Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee functions of the Pre Roll team which include but are not limited to scheduling, packaging products, rework, and batch record keeping.
- This job requires strong leadership and attention to detail.
- Ability to review data and navigate Microsoft Suite applications.
- Keep all processes of the Pre Roll room up to date and compliant.
- Daily production plans reviewed and executed; with the ability to develop solutions to any barrier that may arise with the support of the Post-Processing Supervisor and management team.
- Complete quality control audits as required across different process path functions.
- Input data into state compliance software and internal software.
- Maintain data records around productivity and quality metrics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, adjust, and maintain complex, high-speed industrial and packaging machinery.
- Hands-on experience with automated production equipment, including setup, line balancing, jam/rollback prevention, tension adjustment, and continuous process monitoring.
- Capable of performing routine adjustments and minor mechanical repairs, including alignment, tensioning, lubrication, and component replacement
- Operate machines to make pre-rolls when needed to cover breaks and lunch; package pre-rolls; case pack final product.

- Able to communicate professionally and clearly in email to machine vendors; articulating complex machine troubleshooting processes and tracking results.
- Adhering to all related SOPs to ensure safety and longevity of machinery.
- Provide training and oversight across the team as business scales.
- Ensure all packaging and labeling materials meet FDA and CGMP standards (21 CFR Part 211 Subpart G).
- Conduct 100% visual or electronic inspection of labeling accuracy during or after packaging.
- Maintain separation and identification of labeling materials by product type, size, and dosage.
- Document and report discrepancies in labeling or packaging operations.
- LUCID label verification, label generation, and conformity to existing protocols for compliant labeling of finished product.
- Use of third-party software to retrieve and verify Certificates of Analysis released by state testing laboratories, ensuring 100% accuracy across multiple platforms.
- Use of industrial Zebra printers and label mills to accomplish the daily goal of labeled prepped materials and finished goods; ability to troubleshoot and communicate any issue that may arise.
- Absorb other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and BeLeaf Medical Co. maintains success.
- Maintain quality assurance of all packaged products in accordance with local and state regulations.
- Participate in projects and other development initiatives.
Qualifications and Education
- At least 21 years of age.
- Proven experience operating mechanical or automated production equipment- Blackbird or similar preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
- This job requires strong leadership and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with FDA labeling and packaging regulations (FPLA, CGMP).
- Attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
- Able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Availability to work weekends & occasional holidays.
- All employees must adhere to local and state laws and regulations related to cannabis production and keep up to date on changes to those laws and regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State Agent ID.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods (4+ hours) of time.
- Physical requirements include standing, bending and lifting up to 30+ pounds, climbing and working above shoulder height for extended periods, sliding under trays on creepers to perform maintenance, and pushing carts and wheelbarrows.
- Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a production environment with heavy machinery and environmental considerations such as loud repetitive noises and temperature fluctuations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting at $22.00 per hour, with room to negotiate per previous experience and fit.
