Responsibilities
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to the company’s Uniform and Attendance policies.
- Ensure that all employees receive proper training for the task at hand and that tasks are completed according to SOPs.
- Address any questions employees have regarding tasks.
- Work with the department Manager and trim tech employees to accomplish daily tasks.
- Conduct daily team meetings to review tasks for the day.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean on a daily basis.
- Complete daily room assessments to ensure product quality.
- Track supply inventory and submit weekly order forms.
- Report to Management regularly with updates, problems, or comments.
- Respond to Manager’s emails unless specified otherwise.
- Oversee 15-20 employees and control workflow of trimming and QC in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with the Manager and Quality Assurance to inspect product during trim for quality defects, ensuring procedures meet Company guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling and trimming.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations, with an emphasis on continual learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Ability to identify potential problems with plants or processed product and communicate them to management and grow staff.
- Self-motivation, innovation, and ability to work well with all team members and supervisors.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and strong computer skills to manage a centralized cannabis tracking system.
- Superior time management skills to drive efficiency, productivity, and high-quality finished product.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of trimming techniques and cannabis pests/diseases.
- Prior experience trimming or in quality assurance within the cannabis industry.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Able to work seated/standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, or pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
- Able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
- Visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details.
- Able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (moderate noise).
Schedule
- 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
