As the Post Harvest Lead, you will direct workflow and lead a team of 15-20 employees in a fast-paced environment, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all employees adhere to the company’s Uniform and Attendance policies.
- Provide proper training and ensure tasks are completed according to SOPs.
- Direct employee questions regarding tasks and workflow.
- Collaborate with the department Manager and trim tech employees to accomplish daily tasks.
- Conduct daily team meetings to review tasks for the day.
- Maintain a clean work area daily.
- Complete daily room assessments to ensure product quality.
- Track supply inventory and submit weekly order forms.
- Report updates, problems, or comments to Management regularly.
- Respond to Manager’s emails unless specified otherwise.
- Work with Quality Assurance to inspect product during trim for quality defects.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cannabis handling and trimming techniques.
- Understanding of local and state regulations, with an emphasis on continual learning.
- Ability to identify potential problems with plants or processed product and communicate them to management.
- Self-motivation, innovation, and ability to work well with all team members.
- Excellent organizational and computer skills for managing a centralized cannabis tracking system.
- Superior time management skills to drive efficiency, productivity, and high-quality output.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
- Prior experience in trimming or quality assurance in cannabis.
- Strong attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
Skills
- Strong understanding of trimming techniques and cannabis pests/diseases.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong computer skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Able to work seated/standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Must be able to use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, or pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
- Able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
- Must have visual acuity (with/without job aids) for reading, viewing computer terminals, and inspecting small parts/details.
- Able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels in moderate noise environments.
Schedule
- 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
