About the Role
The Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS), housed in the School of Education and Human Services, invites applications to a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position to work on a newly funded statewide preschool evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the PI, Co-PI and the Project manager to conduct advanced statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Help with report writing;
- Peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations;
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong interest and knowledge of Michigan’s early childhood landscape
- PhD in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or related field received in the past 5 years (2021-2026). ABD will be considered on a limited basis.
- Advanced knowledge in statistical analysis (SPSS. STATA or R).
- Demonstrated background in Python programming, statistical modeling, and data visualization (Tableau or Power BI).
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Good command of Google Suite
- Open to learning new technology and research approaches
Qualifications

Benefits
Possibility for renewal up to 3 years, pending performance and fund availability.
Pay
Grant-funded, contingent upon continued funding, and begins August 15, 2026.
