Positive Support Services Analyst and Positive Support Specialist

Our program is growing and the PSS Analyst position will expand to 40 hours as we continue to intake clients off the wait list. Positive Support Services promotes community participation, person-centeredness, and inclusion. We serve people with disabilities who have been approved for waivered services in home and community-based settings. Services provide positive support strategies to promote and increase skills and self-determination for those striving to improve their quality of life.

About the role

The Positive Support Services (PSS) Analyst applies specialized knowledge and best practices to prepare individualized functional behavior assessments and develops and oversees the implementation of PSS transition plans and/or support plans for clients. This includes distribution of the plan(s) to appropriate team members and guidance on proactive and reactive intervention strategies. The PSS Analyst evaluates the effectiveness of services and interventions through data collection and evaluation, assists the PSS Specialist with onsite instructional learning for staff, caregivers, and other team members, and trains PSS Support Specialists.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Design, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of positive practice behavior support strategies for people who exhibit challenging behaviors, as well as co-occurring mental disorders and neurocognitive disorders.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of PSS transition plans and/or support plans for clients.
• Distribute plans to appropriate team members and provide guidance on proactive and reactive intervention strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of services and interventions through data collection and evaluation.
• Assist the PSS Specialist with onsite instructional learning for staff, caregivers, and other team members.
• Train PSS Support Specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, master's degree, or Ph.D. in a social services discipline, OR
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, OR
• Qualifications of a mental health practitioner as defined in Stat.245.462, subd. 17, OR
• A licensed Behavior Analyst or a board-certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.

Qualifications

Must have one of the following experience:

• Two (2) years of supervised experience conducting functional behavior assessments and designing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of positive practice behavior support strategies for people who exhibit challenging behaviors, as well as co-occurring mental disorders and neurocognitive disorders.
• Four (4) years of experience implementing or carrying out behavioral plans that were developed off of a functional behavior assessment and that utilize positive practice behavior support strategies for people who exhibit challenging behaviors, as well as co-occurring mental disorders and neurocognitive disorders.

• Must pass First Aid competency and CPR competency.
• Must have dependable transportation, a current driver's license, car insurance, and a driving record that meets our insurability standards.
• Must be able to meet all employment requirements defined by CCRI's policy and procedure manual.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (20 PSS Analyst and 20 PSS Specialist).
• Flexible Monday–Friday. Scheduled hours will vary and be based on client need.
• Position needs to be flexible for clients to meet in the early morning or later afternoon into evening.
