Minister of Community Life
The primary tasks for this position include:
- Administrative support
- Programmatic oversight
- Database and calendar set up and maintenance
- Working with volunteers
Additional responsibilities include:
- Interfacing with vendors
- Supporting church staff and parishioners
- Providing welcome and hospitality to weekday visitors
- Performing general office management tasks
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel
- Online People database (Realm) and Website Content Management
This is an hourly position, paid at $19.50-$22.00/hour, depending on experience. Benefits include three weeks’ paid vacation, and pension in line with the Policy of the Diocese of Olympia.

Bookkeeper
This person will perform bookkeeping related tasks that provide finance and accounting support to the Rector, the Treasurer, and St. John’s Parish. Confidentiality of financial information is essential.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of basic accounting skills
- Quickbooks (Non- Profit edition)
- Intuit Payroll
- General knowledge of pledge and offering procedures (experience with Shepherd’s Staff church management software desired but not required)
- Technologically savvy
Flexible schedule.
This is an hourly position, paid at $19.50-$22/hour, depending on experience.
