About the role

We are seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer to join our team in Turkey (Remote). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Scala and Spark, and will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable big data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark
• Optimize data processing workflows for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to implement data solutions
• Maintain and improve existing data infrastructure
• Ensure data quality and implement monitoring solutions

Requirements

• Strong experience with Scala programming language
• Expertise in Apache Spark framework
• Experience with big data technologies and distributed systems
• Knowledge of data processing patterns and best practices
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade data solutions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
