About the role
A warm family in Manhattan is seeking a nurturing and dependable nanny. Ideally, the person has experience caring for infants and toddlers and enjoys helping a household run smoothly. The family employs another full-time nanny who primarily cares for the older child during the day and the infant in the morning. This position will focus primarily on the infant while working collaboratively with the other nanny and providing support for the household. The ideal candidate is calm, communicates well, enjoys working as part of a team, and is happy to pitch in wherever needed to support the family.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm
- Guaranteed 32.5–40 hours per week, depending on the needs of the selected candidate
- Additional guaranteed hours may be fulfilled through evening and/or weekend hours
- Flexibility to structure the schedule as four weekdays and one weekend day
- The family plans to spend approximately two months in the Hamptons during the summer of 2027; the ideal candidate will be flexible and available to spend part of the summer in the Hamptons

- A four-year-old and a four-month-old

Core Responsibilities
Childcare Support
- Plan and engage the infant in fun, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
- Maintain the infant’s feeding, nap schedule and daily routines
- Accompany the infant to activities, appointments and playdates
- Support bath and bedtime routines
- Make and serve vegetarian meals and snacks for the children (introducing solids to the infant)
- Take care of the children’s laundry
- Keep the children’s bedrooms, play areas, and belongings clean, tidy, and organized
Household Support
- Take care of the family’s laundry a few times a week (ironing is a plus but not necessary)
- Load and unload the dishwasher and maintain a tidy kitchen
- Keep the home’s main living spaces neat throughout the day
- Put away toys and help maintain organization in shared family spaces
- Restock groceries and essentials, and monitor household inventory to ensure food and other frequently used items remain stocked
- Unbox packages and give boxes to the doorman to break down
- Let in vendors such as gardeners, construction workers, etc. and convey updates to the family as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant professional nanny experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Excellent professional references from previous families
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to renew before employment)
- Up-to-date vaccinations
- Non-smoker
Pay
Hourly pay: $40/hour gross
