**POSITION FILLED** #547 – Nanny / Housekeeper in Long Island – 30 hrs per week

Responsibilities

• Engage the child in age-appropriate activities
• Diaper changes and supporting overall healthy hygiene
• Bottle feedings, keeping the bottles and other equipment clean and sterilized
• Keep household stocked with child-related supplies
• Help anticipate household needs
• Meal preparation for the child/kitchen cleanup
• Taking the child on walks, reading books, and other activities
• Keeping the main spaces of the home and the child’s play area and nursery clean and tidy
• Manage the household laundry, load/unload the dishwasher, and general light housekeeping
• Occasional errands (groceries, pharmacy, etc)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nanny experience
• Prior experience with a similar age group
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain/renew)
• 2-3 Valid references
• Resides within a reasonable commuting distance to Syosset, Long Island
• Comfortable around a small dog

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
• Knowledgeable about child development and passionate about caring for children
• Clear communicator who works well with parents
• Built a direct rapport with mom
• Team player willing to pitch in as needed to help the household run smoothly
• Occasional Weekend hours of availability are a plus but not a requirement
