** POSITION FILLED ** #533 – Newborn Care Specialist in NYC and South Hampton filled

About the Role

Newborn Care Specialist position based in NYC and South Hampton. Start date approximately July 16, 2025 (due date). Contract is for three months, with possibility of extension if mutually agreed upon.

Schedule

• Position will begin as 24/7 coverage for an agreed-upon period
• It will then adjust to 24/5 coverage for a set duration
• After approximately two months, the schedule will transition to overnights only, 7 PM – 7 AM

Locations

• The first few weeks will likely be in NYC
• The role will then shift to the Hamptons for part of the summer
• By mid-September, the schedule will be 7 PM – 7 AM in NYC

Responsibilities

• Everything involving the safety, care, and well-being of the child
• Guiding the parents on best care practices while supporting the parents' decisions
• Help create a sleep and feeding schedule
• Diaper and clothes changes as needed
• Maintaining overall healthy hygiene of the baby
• The baby's laundry
• Equipment sterilization
• Keeping the baby's room and bathroom clean and tidy
• Helping to maintain a clean and sterile environment for the baby
• Providing a list of suggestions for the baby's room and for baby-related products
• To soothe the baby using skilled and proven techniques that help calm newborns and to help establish a calm and peaceful environment for the baby
• Keep track of the overnight routine (the baby's eating, sleeping, and behavioral patterns)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant NCS experience
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• Proactive, supportive, and neat, clean, orderly
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent references
• Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid
• Fully Vaccinated (COVID, Tdap, Flu, MMR)
• Must be comfortable with a dog in the home

Pay

$40-50.00+ per hour
