POS Systems Engineer

Duration: 6+ months. On-site 3 days/week in Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, or Scarborough, ME.

About the role

Support the planning, engineering, implementation, and production support of retail systems infrastructure, with a strong focus on point-of-sale (POS) technology and payments processing. Serve as a technical contributor for production escalations, project workstreams, vendor coordination, and daily operational priorities. Grocery retail experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production support escalations involving retail POS terminals, PIN pads, and payments processing.
• Plan and execute infrastructure engineering activities supporting retail store technology.
• Attend daily operational meetings to review open issues, triage requests, manage priorities, and communicate challenges.
• Independently lead or contribute to production support activities and project workstreams.
• Coordinate with external vendors as a technical point of contact for assigned projects.
• Monitor system performance and support implementation of hardware and software solutions.
