POS Systems Engineer

As a POS Systems Engineer (GK), you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market. Responsibilities Maintain existing applications, systems, and technical solutions while contributing to the development of new capabilities that support business objectivesAnalyze business and technical requirements to identify opportunities for enhancements, optimizations, and process improvementsDesign, develop, test, and implement technical solutions that meet customer and business needsContribute to and maintain technology roadmaps to support application development and ensure work is prioritized according to business requirementsMonitor, assess, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software and system issues to maintain a stable and fully functioning store environmentSupport, troubleshoot, and enhance retail store technology platforms including GK Retail POS, ACI ConnectUp, Allied Site Controllers, Verifone payment systems, and related store infrastructureResearch, evaluate, and recommend technologies, tools, and processes that improve solution quality, reliability, and supportabilityDevelop automation and operational efficiencies through scripting and engineering best practicesActively expand technical knowledge and apply current engineering and industry best practices to daily workCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver successful technical outcomesSupport system maintenance, upgrades, deployments, and operational initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experienceMinimum of three (3) years of experience designing, building, and maintaining technical solutions in a business environmentAdvanced PowerShell experience, including leveraging .NET capabilities to query and configure systems, install and manage third-party software, and develop automation solutions in complex enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with Windows batch scriptingSQL knowledge with the ability to query data and perform updates within database environmentsExperience supporting Windows-based systems in distributed retail or enterprise environmentsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to build trusted relationships through transparency, collaboration, and mutual respectSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a teamStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage competing deadlinesHigh attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality resultsDemonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze information, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting GK Retail POS platforms in a retail, convenience store, fuel, or multi-site store environmentExperience with ACI ConnectUp, Allied Site Controllers, or similar store controller and payment integration platformsExperience supporting Verifone Engage Series (M400, M425) payment devices and Verifone HQ (VHQ)Experience with Gilbarco Insite360 and fuel/convenience retail technology platformsExperience with ACI TMS or similar transaction management systemsExperience with software deployment, systems automation, configuration management, or platform engineeringFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and modern software development practicesExposure to Linux environments, including OpenSUSE, in addition to Windows-based systemsExperience supporting enterprise-scale retail store, POS, payment processing, or fuel/convenience retail environments The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $115,000 or the hourly equivalent.
