POS Support Engineer

Title: POS Support Engineer Location: Hybrid – Phoenix, AZ Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Environment: Managed Services Provider (MSP) Position Overview Phoenix Staff is seeking a POS Support Engineer to join an MSP supporting a variety of client environments. This role will focus on troubleshooting Aloha POS and similar restaurant/food service platforms, while also providing broader technical support. We are looking for someone who already has hands-on experience supporting restaurant POS environments and can independently troubleshoot issues without requiring extensive platform-specific training. This person will also help document solutions and build internal knowledge that can be used to train other technicians. Responsibilities Provide Tier 2/3 technical support within an MSP environment.Troubleshoot Aloha POS or similar restaurant/food service POS platforms.Diagnose issues involving POS terminals, back-office systems, printers, payment devices, peripherals, and connectivity.Troubleshoot Windows, networking, hardware, and application-related issues.Work with end users, internal teams, and third-party vendors through resolution.Document troubleshooting procedures, known issues, and solutions.Help develop internal POS training and knowledge-base materials. Qualifications Hands-on experience supporting Aloha POS or a comparable restaurant/food service POS platform.Strong technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.Experience supporting Windows environments, networking, hardware, and peripherals.MSP, service desk, or other high-volume technical support experience preferred.Restaurant, hospitality, or multi-location technology support experience preferred.Ability to clearly document and share technical knowledge with other technicians.
