Portfolio Strategy Analyst
About the role
This role sits at the intersection of investments, client engagement, and thought leadership. The Portfolio Strategy Analyst will become an expert on portfolio analytics and client service while growing toward a client-facing Portfolio Strategist role.
Responsibilities
- Generate portfolio analytics reports and synthesize portfolio strengths, potential risks, and ideas for improvement in line with the client’s stated goals and constraints.
- Manage the ongoing development of Nuveen’s portfolio analytics suite, working alongside key stakeholders and a third-party technology partner to ensure maintenance and enhancement requests are implemented in a timely manner without interrupting portfolio consulting services.
- Help train Nuveen’s new hires on the team’s portfolio consulting offering and best practices for leveraging technology to deliver investment advice to clients.
- Become an expert in portfolio construction concepts and connect these concepts to the service the team provides to clients.
- Lead projects that support the continued evolution of the team’s services.
Requirements
- Eligibility is limited to candidates who successfully completed the Nuveen Portfolio Solutions Group 2026 Summer Internship Program and received a verbal offer for full-time employment based on their performance during the 10-week internship.
- University degree preferred.
- No prior work experience required.

Pay
Base Pay Range: $89,200/yr – $106,100/yr. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The competitive compensation package may also include participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
