About the role
The Wine Director serves as the leader of knowledge and core initiatives related to H&P’s vast wine portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set overall direction related to H&P’s wine portfolio
- Develop and implement training programs with a focus on product knowledge and sales technique
- Build professional, productive partnership relationships with wineries and suppliers
- Meet with suppliers to collaborate on objectives, strategies, and review performance
- Work side by side with managers and sales representatives to develop and enhance their ability to sell the H&P wine portfolio
- Work in conjunction with Sales Manager and Division Managers to ensure each salesperson meets or exceeds all distribution and sales goals
- Identify new products to bring into H&P’s wine portfolio
- Participate actively and knowledgeably in departmental and inter-departmental meetings
- Work with purchasing and analyze reports to maintain proper inventory levels
- Complete other special projects as needs arise and as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- WSET Level 3 Award (minimum)
- 5+ years of experience in the wine & spirits industry preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Marketing, Supply Chain/Operations, or other relevant field preferred)
- Computer literacy with experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook
