About the role

Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead a consumer industry-focused equity portfolio. The role involves managing a significant portfolio, integrating advanced AI tools, and contributing to the firm's mission of generating excess returns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a significant Consumer portfolio, ensuring consistent delivery of superior long-term investment returns
  • Combine differentiated company analysis with equity market insights and portfolio construction considerations
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly portfolio companies within the Consumer sector
  • Act as a strong ambassador for the fund and represent its interests and values externally
  • Contribute to the fund's ownership activities by assessing and engaging on relevant company and sector issues
  • Be an active participant in team tasks and contribute to relevant investment discussions internally

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the US Consumer sector, its structure, trends, competitive dynamics, and key value drivers, developed through meaningful investment experience
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field is preferred, though not a strict requirement
  • 10+ years of professional experience in equity portfolio management and financial markets, with a focus on the US Consumer sector
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into your investment process
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and developments
  • Excellent communication skills enabling high-quality interaction with companies at senior executive level
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making capacity

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of successful investment management
  • Experience with equity portfolio management in the US Consumer sector
  • Knowledge of AI tools and their integration into investment processes
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

Pay

Expected Base Salary rates for the role will be between $250,000 - $325,000. Base Salary, if hired, will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include performance pay.

Schedule

The position is based in New York and requires travel. The role is full-time and permanent.
