Portfolio Manager- Solid Waste Services

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering projects related to solid waste facility expansions and closures; infrastructure improvements, and environmental compliance reporting directly to the Principal Engineer.
• Lead multi-discipline teams
• Oversee field activities including construction quality assurance (CQA) and site observations during landfill construction and closure projects.
• Career Development
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals, budgets, and timelines are met.
• Develop client relationships
• Support pursuit tracking and proposal development and contribute to business development efforts through technical expertise and client engagement
• Expand solid waste engineering services portfolio in central and northern California
• Facilitate growth by supporting strategic talent acquisition and mentorship of junior staff

Qualifications

• Education & Licensure
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• California PE license required; CE licenses in Oregon and Washington desirable
• Minimum 15 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering with a focus on landfill projects
• Proven experience in landfill expansions and closures
• Project management and client coordination
