About the role
The Portfolio Manager at Nicolet National Bank is responsible for providing financial and investment guidance to High-net-worth individual and Institutional clients. This role involves maintaining relationships and service of the existing client base, performing proprietary investment research and due diligence, consulting with clients to develop investment objectives and goals, and providing financial services and advice.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships and service existing client base.
- Perform proprietary investment research and due diligence.
- Consult with clients to develop investment objectives and goals and provide financial services and advice accordingly.
- Create Investment Policy Statement documenting objectives, risk tolerance, cash flow needs, tax situations and wealth aspirations for the Client.
- Work closely with the Trust Administrative Officers to manage the client relationship and ensure that all the needs of the investment accounts are met.
- Knowledge of investments and asset management strategies, products and services.
- Stay abreast of market news and trends and current legal and tax consequences of investment decisions.
- Develop referral sources throughout Nicolet.
- Adhere to all compliance issues associated with sales of investment services.
- Represent Nicolet in community organizations and activities to enhance Nicolet’s image.
- Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent experience at a financial institution.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of investment experience preferred.
- CFA and CAIA designations preferred.
- Series 65 or currently holds and is in good standing as a CFP, CFA, CIMA, ChFC, or PFS required.
- Motivated and driven self-starter.
- Strong analytical and detail orientated aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.
- Ability to make professional presentations to clients, employees or other groups.
- Exhibit good judgment and build credibility as trusted advisor with prospective and current clients.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills; strong attention to detail.
- Ongoing knowledge of state and federal securities regulations.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- PC, phone system, general office equipment.
- Attention to detail, ability to learn and use a variety of software.
- Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure.
- Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong level of comfort with PC, phone system, general office equipment.
- Absolutely must have strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
