Portfolio Manager Senior

About the role

Senior Portfolio Manager working onsite, partnering with Relationship Managers to support commercial and corporate borrowers through credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Lead loan analysis, underwriting, origination, and portfolio management for a growing commercial and corporate portfolio.
• Apply risk assessment, structuring, and mitigation techniques, understanding risk grading and credit appetite.
• Manage relationships with C&I and CRE borrowers, identifying client needs and developing lending proposals.
• Oversee post-approval due diligence and loan documentation.
• Build and maintain a high-value, quality portfolio, ensuring proper servicing.
• Mentor junior team members, delegating tasks and providing feedback for skill development.

Qualifications & Skills

• 6-8 years of commercial underwriting and portfolio management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical skills with financial reports, legal documents, and calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of engaging with senior executives and partners.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
