Portfolio Manager Senior

About the role

The Portfolio Manager – PRO CRE is responsible for conducting comprehensive credit analyses on non-owner occupied commercial real estate loans to facilitate approval processes. They must possess an in-depth understanding of various lending facilities and property types, including retail, office, multi-family, lodging, industrial, and senior living.

Responsibilities

• Review financial documents such as rent rolls and operating statements to identify trends and issues.
• Monitor portfolio health, detecting weaknesses and alerting relevant teams.
• Prepare covenant checks per loan agreements and manage non-compliance issues.
• Oversee construction loan progress through inspection reports and borrower updates.
• Conduct annual portfolio reviews and update risk models based on project status and market conditions.
• Proactively manage upcoming loan maturities and renewals in collaboration with Relationship Managers.
• Monitor past dues and overdrafts, working to resolve issues.
• Ensure accurate loan coding and documentation updates in systems like nCinco.
• Attend client and portfolio review meetings when possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial credit, underwriting, or portfolio management.
• Prior experience underwriting commercial real estate loans is required.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
