Description
Come join the Food Production team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.
Position Purpose
The Porter/Dishwasher is responsible for the delivery of food to various areas, Cheer cupboard, Trailer and Gengras Cafeteria. Brews and pours hot beverages. Sweeps and mops floors. Cleans equipment. Delivers and picks up coffee carts as assigned. Removes trash from the department. Supplies clean trays, dishes, flatware and food items.
What You Will Do
- Transports food and supplies to various locations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains assigned department areas and equipment in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
- Contributes to the efficient operation of the department and the achievement of excellence by following departmental and hospital guidelines.
Environmental And Working Conditions
- Stands, walks, pushes and pulls most of the day.
- Requires movement of 350# carts and lifting 75%.
- (Heavy supplies and equipment)
- Must follow written and verbal instructions.
Position Requirements
- Works in food service areas with exposure to chemical hazards, burns, strains, cuts, falls, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year food service experience preferred.
- Licensure: None.
Skills
- Able to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
