Pool Server/Bartender

About the role

At Holiday Inn Club Vacations we believe in strengthening families. This position is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, preparing and serving cocktails and other beverages, and providing courteous, timely service to owners and guests in the pool area. The role also requires strong product knowledge to assist guests, answer questions, and make recommendations while delivering an engaging guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests, inform them of any specials, and answer any questions.
• Take food and beverage orders, make recommendations, and up‑sell items.
• Accurately time and input food and beverage orders utilizing the POS computers.
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes, present to guests, collect payment, and make change.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, check back to ensure satisfaction, and take corrective actions with urgency when needed.
• Pre‑bus tables as necessary during service; remove unused or dirty dishes, utensils, glasses, and trash, and transport them to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Complete assorted pre‑shift and post‑shift side‑work as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Cash‑handling experience (preferred).
• Customer service and/or food & beverage service experience required.

Certifications

• ServSafe certified, TIPS certified, and/or other state alcohol commission certification.
• Certification can be obtained through Holiday Inn Club Vacations if not already held.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Superior guest‑relations skills with the ability to answer guest inquiries.
• Ability to be trained on cash‑handling functions and comfortable using POS computers for transactions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Comprehensive menu knowledge with the ability to up‑sell items.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, high‑demand environment.
