Pool Server/Bartender (Full-Time Seasonal)

About the role

This position is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, preparing and serving cocktails and other beverages, and providing courteous, timely service to owners and guests in the pool area. The role also requires strong product knowledge to assist guests, answer questions, and make recommendations while delivering an engaging guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests, inform them of any specials and answer any questions.
• Take food and beverage orders, making recommendations, and up‑selling items.
• Accurately time and input food and beverage orders utilizing the POS computers.
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes, present them to guests, and collect payment with change as needed.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, check back to ensure satisfaction, and address any issues promptly.
• Pre‑bus tables as necessary during service; remove unused or dirty dishes, utensils, glasses, and trash, and transport them to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Complete assorted pre‑shift and post‑shift side‑work as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Cash‑handling experience preferred.
• Customer service and/or food & beverage service experience required.
• Superior guest relations skills and ability to answer guest inquiries.
• Ability to be trained on cash‑handling functions and comfortable using POS computers for transactions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Comprehensive menu knowledge with the ability to up‑sell items.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, high‑demand work environment.
• ServSafe certified, TIPS certified, and/or other state alcohol commission; certification can be obtained through Holiday Inn Club Vacations if not already held.
