About the Role
The pool/racquet attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and terry inventory in the pool and racquet areas, including the removal and resupply of towels and trash from outdoor areas. The attendant maintains restrooms, furniture, and all outdoor water stations.
Responsibilities
- Continuously circulate throughout designated areas to determine where service is needed.
- Serve members and co-workers with genuine care.
- Ensure restrooms are clean and supplied at all times.
- Collect soiled towels, pick up trash, clean furniture, and reset it in order; clean decks as necessary.
- Stock all outside water stations with cups and ice as needed throughout the shift.
- Follow proper procedures for area closures and lost and found items.
- Keep storage areas neat and clean.
- Report potential problems and hazards to managers/supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to club security and member safety by reporting unusual or suspicious behavior.
- Enforce club rules to prevent hazardous behaviors.
- Assist in laundry or hotel duties during inclement weather as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and other physical activity for extended periods.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to maneuver carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must work safely and effectively in outdoor weather conditions for extended periods, including temperatures exceeding 95°F in summer and below 20°F in winter.
- Effectively engage in one-on-one communication with guests, members, and customers, and use a 2-way radio to communicate clearly with co-workers.
- Accurately read instructions, reports, and log sheets, and work with computers and PDAs in varying light conditions.
- Produce, read, and understand reports (e.g., security, incident, police reports), analyze written information from various sources, and communicate content effectively.
- Work safely with chemicals according to SDS sheets and all applicable laws, codes, and regulatory requirements.
