Housekeeping Attendant, Full-time

Responsibilities

• Provide an attractive, clean, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Maintain documents and follow policies and procedures.
• Transport needed cleaning supplies and equipment to assigned areas.
• Use a treated dust mop on all floors, then wet mop with disinfected water.
• Pick up all trash and linen, disposing of trash properly.
• Clean restrooms, polish tubs, showers, mirrors, and commodes.
• Run sweeper, use clean cloths on all furniture.
• Spot clean walls, carpets, and upholstery.
• Monthly cleaning tasks include washing walls, cleaning windows, shampooing carpets, and refinish floors when necessary.
• Clean and shine floors using a buffing machine.
• Clean janitors’ closets in accordance with fire code.
• Stock all areas with paper supplies and soap.
• Clean all discharge rooms and sterile areas according to policy and procedure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies, and Procedures, and the Personnel Employee Handbook.
• Demonstrate excellence in customer service skills.
• Foster an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, including serving on quality improvement teams.
