Remote role supporting the Canadian Wealth business segment.
About the role
The senior technical writer will develop, maintain, and enhance policies, procedures, standards, work instructions, and related governance documentation. The role partners with stakeholders, subject matter experts, risk and compliance teams, and operational leaders to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, usable, and aligned with organizational objectives. The specialist will drive consistency across documentation standards and support regulatory, audit, operational excellence, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance policies, procedures, standards, work instructions, and governance documentation.
- Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, risk and compliance teams, and operational leaders.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, compliance, usability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Drive consistency across documentation standards and templates.
- Support regulatory and audit readiness through controlled documentation.
- Enable operational excellence and process improvement initiatives through clear documentation.
- Manage version control, change history, and governance workflows.
- Facilitate reviews, approvals, and periodic updates with accountable owners.
- Create user-friendly artifacts and taxonomies that improve discoverability.
- Measure effectiveness and adoption of documentation with defined metrics.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a policy and procedure documentation specialist or senior technical writer.
- Background supporting enterprise risk frameworks or governance, risk, and compliance functions.
- Strong knowledge of documentation standards, style guides, and information architecture.
- Experience working with stakeholders across risk, compliance, audit, and operations.
- Proficiency with documentation tools and repositories.
- Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear and usable content.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Experience within wealth management or financial services preferred.

Pay
$70.00 to $80.00/hr. (W2)
