About the role

The Policy & Compliance Specialist manages policy documentation, compliance reporting, and special projects across multiple operational areas and countries. This role serves as a key partner to operational leadership in maintaining policy accuracy, driving timely updates, and ensuring compliance with local regulations for Worldwide Grocery Stores, including Whole Foods Market.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance (50-60%)
    • Analyze and implement requirements for historical, current, and new or updated laws, including notice distribution through various platforms for onboarding, current team members, and offboarding.
    • Build partnerships with Canada and UK leadership for timely policy and compliance implementation.
    • Ensure policy timing meets diverse requirements across regions and business lines.
    • Lead implementation plans for new laws in domestic and international markets.
    • Drive forward-thinking policy alignment with consideration for updated and new laws.
    • Manage Labor Law Poster programming.
    • Research evolving international regulatory requirements.
  • Policy Management (20%)
    • Maintain policy templates for six core audiences across multiple countries.
    • Implement policy edits in content management systems.
    • Develop partnerships with international stakeholders to drive policy changes.
    • Reconcile policy edits for legal review and seamless publishing.
    • Own partnerships with other business lines for policy publications.
    • Support WWGS policy alignment.
  • Cross-Regional Compliance Administration (10%)
    • Execute monthly compliance reporting across international markets.
    • Manage monthly invoice approvals.
    • Process intake and discovery of new and updated laws in the US, UK, and Canada.
    • Develop SOPs for global compliance processes.
    • Track implementation of new laws across regulatory environments.
  • Resource Development & Strategic Projects (20%)
    • Lead uniform/apparel resources.
    • Manage vendor partnerships.
    • Support strategic initiatives.
    • Handle other unique projects as assigned.

A typical day involves ensuring every team member—from onboarding to offboarding—receives the right information through the right channels at the right time. You’ll translate ever-changing labor laws across the US, Canada, and the UK into actionable implementation plans, align with international partners on timing, build playbooks for law communication, and manage Labor Law Poster programming. You’ll also author and contribute to policy templates for dynamic audiences across three countries. Beyond routine tasks, you’ll manage supporting resources, vendor partnerships, and participate in cross-functional strategic projects.

About the team

The Policy and Compliance Team historically supported Whole Foods Market. In December 2025, the team joined the People Experience Technology Programs team to expand its scope and support new stakeholders.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing policies and supporting documentation.
  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $64,300 – $112,500 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
