Location: 200 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich. Business hours: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Performs intermediate-level administrative support work, including reviewing and approving reports, maintaining files, utilizing records software and databases, processing requests, fees, and notifications.
- Processes traffic citations, ordinance violations, crash, and miscellaneous non-criminal reports.
- Facilitates support to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer by coordinating receipt, research, tracking, and response to FOIA requests.
- Processes subpoenas and requests for records from both public and private entities, including the Lake County State's Attorney's Office and the Village Prosecutor.
- Processes administrative tow fees and lienholder notifications and serves as the backup Court Clerk for police matters in adjudication hearing proceedings.
- Manages division accreditation proofs.
- Assists in conducting records retention reviews and prepares disposal documentation for the State.
- Provides direct customer service to the public at the service window or by telephone or email.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience in an office environment.
- Previous government, police records, and FOIA experience is preferred.
- Must obtain LEADS LTFA certification within 6 months of employment.
- Ability to multitask and strong communication, organizational, administrative, and customer service skills.
- Must successfully complete a background check and post-offer employment physical examination including a drug screening.

Pay
Starting hourly rate: $25.24 per hour (approximately $52,500 annually).
