Description
Skilled work involved with operating and driving trucks and construction equipment.
Work Location
Moores Bridges Water Treatment
6040 Waterworks Road, Norfolk, VA
Work Hours
Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm;
4 days/wk.
Essential Functions
- Operates construction and water treatment maintenance equipment such as backhoes, tractors, trenchers, dump trucks, harvesters, etc.
- Transports heavy equipment, supplies, and materials to work sites.
- Serves and performs minor maintenance on equipment.
- Affords assistance with loading/unloading materials, job site tasks, and maintaining clean equipment and work areas.
- May supervise or direct employees.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Pre-Employment Testing
Pre-employment testing on the operation of a backhoe may be required.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Underground utility system experience preferred.
