Police Cadet - Edina

About the role

The Police Cadet position is a part-time role that supports all divisions within the Police Department. This position works a flexible schedule of 30 or more hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. It is a two-year maximum term.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various community service-oriented activities
• Provide police officer support services
• Gain learning opportunities and inter-departmental mentorship
• Work towards promotion to a police officer position upon meeting department expectations and availability of open positions
• Receive tuition assistance to complete a degree and become POST Eligible

Requirements

• Expected graduation date in the Fall of 2027 or later

Qualifications

• Uniformed apprentice-type position
