Police Cadet

Cadet Program Overview:

The Buffalo Grove Police Department is seeking interested individuals aged 14-18 to join their Police Cadet Program. To apply, candidates must complete an application for membership and submit a letter of interest expressing their desire to join and what they hope to gain from the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with community events
• Participate in scenario-based training
• Learn leadership and team building skills

Requirements

• Maintain a minimum attendance rate of 80% of all basic training hours scheduled
• Be 14-18 years old and have graduated 8th grade
• Have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for all courses

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Aged 14-18
• Graduated 8th grade
• Minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
