About the Role
Police cadets gain a firsthand glimpse into law enforcement in Meridian Township. Cadets work alongside MTPD officers daily and have access to regular ride-alongs. This position serves as a precursor for potential sponsorship through the police academy and a gateway to full-time employment as a Meridian Township Police Officer. While not all cadets receive academy sponsorship, the department identifies cadets who embody the values of a Meridian Township Police Officer and may award sponsorships and full-time positions.
