Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and professional Poker Dealer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dealing poker games efficiently and accurately while maintaining a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The Poker Dealer must ensure fair play, enforce house rules, and provide excellent customer service to all players.
Essential Functions
- Deal Poker Games with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the flow of live poker games.
- Visually and manually handle cards, chips, and game equipment in accordance with gaming regulations.
- Accurately count, collect, and distribute chips and pots.
- Monitor wagers and payouts while maintaining concentration in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide consistent and professional Guest Service.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with players and Team Members.
- Listen, speak, and respond appropriately in a noisy, crowded environment.
- Perform brush and floor duties including: Greeting, seating, and directing players.
- Manage player waitlists and table assignments.
- Monitor and maintain game integrity.
- Observe player behavior and gameplay for accuracy and fairness.
- Report irregularities, disputes, or suspicious activity to supervisors as needed.
- Use required tools and equipment including operating shuffle machines, chip racks, and table accessories.
- Adhere to Gaming Regulations and Internal Policies, and follow all house rules, gaming laws, and responsible gaming practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure that table areas are neat and properly stocked.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Non-Essential Functions
- Assisting with general room cleaning (e.g., wiping tables, organizing chairs).
- Training or mentoring new dealers (unless assigned formally).
- Participating in promotional events or tournaments not part of regular shifts.
- Engaging in customer service beyond gaming duties (e.g., escorting players, answering general casino inquiries).
- Filing incident reports or assisting with non-routine paperwork.
- Handling emergency evacuation procedures beyond normal expectations.
- Moving or rearranging furniture or heavy fixtures (except chips or shuffle machine).
- Acting as a floor supervisor or manager (unless cross-trained and scheduled for that role).
