About the role
AnovaWorks is looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinic at PNNL in Richland, WA. This is a unique opportunity to work independently, balancing direct patient care in Employee Health services with administrative leadership. There are no insurance code requirements, and no weekend or on-call expectations.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health treatment
- Diagnose and treat acute and episodic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Support coordination of beryllium cases by facilitating education and coordinating medical monitoring appointments with offsite beryllium facilities
- Interview workers and managers, visit worksites and facilities, and review employee job task analysis documents
- Support the team with the delivery of timely reports and information
- Manage the emergency preparedness program
- Participate in meetings with PNNL management
Requirements
- WA Nurse Practitioner License (Required)
- BLS/ACLS Certification (Required)
- Previous experience in Occupational Medicine, Family Practice, Urgent Care, or ER (preferred)
- Previous administrative experience preferred
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
