About the Role
Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a PM Warehouse Supervisor to support night shift operations in Atlanta-Austell, GA.
Responsibilities
- Supports the PM Warehouse Manager in overseeing all Night Shift Operations.
- Directly supervises shipping functions, including picking and loading operations; assists other warehouse areas as needed.
- Supervises the operational flow of day shift activities by collaborating with Area Leads and peer Supervisors.
- Utilizes SAP to streamline product handling and maintain inventory integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborates with Day Warehouse Supervisors and the Inventory Control Team to align departmental issues, concerns, and needs related to warehouse inventory, operational readiness, and process flow control.
- Advises and demonstrates proper care and preservation of inventory items, equipment handling, storage, and shipping merchandise.
- Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures; determines adequacy of replenishment levels.
- Directs work for special and periodic inventories.
- Ensures all actions and processes are performed safely and orderly.
- Monitors safety of forklift operators and provides training and retraining as needed.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records; recommends remedial actions.
- Monitors inventory returns from prior day business and line checkers.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Conducts and records training classes on new and existing procedures.
- Examines work for precision, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve work efficiency and quality.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances as the first point of contact in the chain of command.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the PM Warehouse Manager.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift certification and other warehouse certifications as needed.
- Train-the-trainer certifications preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of warehouse software (e.g., SAP, KEA) and basic Windows functions (e.g., Excel, Word).
