About the Role

We are seeking experienced plumbers to join our team, specializing in emergency response for frozen metal pipes during Northern Michigan's harsh winters. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using specialized equipment like the Hot-Shot 400® from General Pipe Cleaners to quickly and safely restore water flow to frozen pipes, minimizing potential damage for customers.

Responsibilities

• Respond rapidly to emergency calls involving frozen metal pipes.
• Operate specialized pipe-thawing equipment, such as the Hot-Shot 400®, to safely and efficiently restore water flow.
• Assess and address frozen pipe issues in residential and commercial settings, including crawl spaces, boiler loops, and older structures.
• Transport, set up, and operate equipment with minimal disruption to customer property.
• Ensure safe practices to avoid damage to pipes, property, or personal injury.
• Provide professional, timely, and cost-effective service to maintain customer satisfaction and business reputation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in plumbing, particularly in emergency or winter-related services.
• Familiarity with pipe-thawing equipment, such as the Hot-Shot 400® or similar devices.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to varying job conditions (e.g., older buildings, limited power availability).
• Commitment to safety and professionalism, avoiding risky methods like blow torches or welders.
• Valid plumbing license and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to transport and operate equipment weighing up to 31 lbs.
