Plumbing Designer / Engineer

About the role

Join the MEP Plumbing Team within the U.S. South Sector at EXP, a global engineering firm based in Maitland, Florida or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will be involved in designing plumbing systems for various sectors including Gaming, Hospitality, Entertainment, Healthcare, and Commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior engineers to direct plumbing system designs.
• Route plumbing systems and size them appropriately.
• Perform load calculations and select plumbing equipment.
• Prepare schedules, details, and fixture/equipment schedules.
• Understand and prepare drawings at SD, DD, CD levels.
• Review and respond to Construction Administration items such as RFIs and submittals.
• Delegate tasks to junior-level designers.

Requirements

• Ability to think in a 3D simulated environment.
• Minimum 5+ years of plumbing design experience.
• Strong REVIT MEP experience.
• A degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or Drafting and Design, or equivalent.
• Great communication skills.
• EIT or PE certification is preferred.
