About the role
The Mid-Level Plumbing Engineer/Designer at Salas O’Brien focuses on designing plumbing systems for various commercial buildings such as hotels, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, and educational facilities. This role utilizes Revit and AutoCAD software to transform bold ideas into impactful, real-world solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design plumbing systems for various commercial buildings
- Participate in the development of system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Prepare detailed design documents
- Complete specification writing/editing
- Complete code compliance research
- Cover site survey to determine and document existing conditions
- Provide construction administration services
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- LEED certification/experience (preferred)
- PE/EIT preferred
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude

Austin, TX
Travel
Limited travel is required
Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
