Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, tests, and documents business applications for County departments.
- Responsible for full phase analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of business applications.
- Codes programs according to client specifications and County standards for installation and/or enhancements received through the assigned project leader and/or information services managers and supervisors.
- Provides support (project, technical, and customer), detailed problem analysis and issue resolution for department customers.
- Maintains existing applications/processes and application expertise for customers of the business applications.
- Gathers data from multiple systems, processing data into customer defined reports and extracting the data to be sent to billing system.
- Analyzes data for errors and processes corrections.
- Works with the customer and other information technology staff to identify required system changes to ensure applications meet evolving business needs and procedures.
- Provides maintenance and deployment of applications by implementing the approved system and application changes.
- Trains and presents to internal personnel and management.
- Attends training as assigned by management to maintain, enhance or acquire job skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required OR four (4) years of full-time related education and/or experience to apply for the position.
- Understanding of systems analysis and design concepts as applied to computer systems.
- Basic knowledge of project management methodology is desired.
- Understanding of business principles and procedures is required.
- Working knowledge of the professional languages, tools and environment in which the supported applications will be executed.
- Good written/oral communications skills.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non technical co-workers to ensure County system requirements is properly met.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills are required.
- Ability to solve problems quickly, accurately and completely.
- Ability to work within a group or independently.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision on several projects concurrently.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, lift, push and pull.
